Away wins are where the market is most often wrong about home advantage. This filter looks for travelling teams our model rates at 45% or more to win — higher than the home side — and then checks that they are actually winning on the road this season and in their last five away.

Prices on away favourites are usually fairer than on home ones, so the list is a good place to start when you want a shorter shortlist. Every match shows the probability and the form numbers, and you can add a price band to see only the games in your odds range.

What the Away Edge filter checks

  • Away Win 50%+
  • Home Win under 30%
  • Win % (last 10, away) 40%+
  • Win % (last 5, home) under 45%

Every fixture kicking off in the next 24 hours is tested against each rule; only the matches that pass all of them are listed above, with the actual figure behind every rule shown on the card. The list is rebuilt through the day as odds and form update.

Frequently asked questions

How often do away favourites win?
Across the leagues we cover, a side priced as the away favourite wins around 45–50% of the time. This filter keeps only the matches where the model puts the away win above that, and where the team's own away record agrees.
Does the filter account for how good the home side is?
Yes. The model rates both teams against each other, so a strong away record against weak sides does not qualify on its own — the away win probability for this specific fixture has to clear 45%.
Is the Away Win Predictions list free?
Yes. Anyone can see the first few matches and add rules of their own; a free OddAlerts account unlocks the full list and runs the free preset on the live match feed. Pro runs every preset live with alerts, sorting and 30-day backtests.
