How the in-play scanner works

1. Pre-match gate

Before kick-off, each match must clear your minimum probability from the OddAlerts model, plus any team form filters you set.

2. Odds drift trigger

In-play, we compare the live price with the pre-match price every second. When it drifts past your increase % inside your time window, it's a candidate.

3. Live stats confirm it

Your stat rules check the game backs it up, such as shots on target, corners or pressure. If they pass, the alert is on your Telegram in seconds.

Pre-match rules

Decide which matches are worth watching before kick-off.

Min. probability
The OddAlerts model must rate the outcome at least this likely, e.g. 75%.
Team form
Home or away rules on BTTS %, over 2.5 %, goals, corners, cards and shots per game, scored first and late-goal rates.
Form window
Judge form over the season or the last 5 or 10 games, overall or only at home or away.

In-play rules

Decide exactly when a live match becomes an alert.

Odds increase
How far the live price must drift from pre-match. 1.40 → 1.75 is a 25% increase.
Live odds range
A floor and ceiling on the live price, so you only hear about bets you would take.
Alerts until
The last minute to alert, per market, up to 75 (45 for first-half goals).
Live stat rules
AND/OR groups on shots, possession, pressure, corners, attacks, cards and the score, plus xG in leagues with xG coverage. Compare a stat to a number, a range or another stat, or check the data exists.

What is an in-play scanner?

An in-play scanner watches live football matches and flags the ones that meet rules you set. The OddAlerts Funnel checks every live match every second against your markets, odds movement, match minute, team form and live stats, then sends a Telegram alert the moment a match qualifies. You do not need to watch any games.

What is an in-play betting system?

A fixed set of rules for when to bet during a match, for example "Over 0.5 goals when it is 0-0 after 60 minutes and there have been 5+ shots on target". Writing a strategy down as rules makes it repeatable and stops you betting on gut feel. In the Funnel, a system is one or more markets, each with a probability gate, an odds-increase trigger, a time window and optional stat rules.

What is the difference between pre-match and in-play rules?

Pre-match rules decide which matches are worth watching before kick-off: the minimum probability from the OddAlerts model and team form filters such as BTTS rate or goals per game. In-play rules decide when a live match becomes an alert: the odds increase, live odds range, the last minute to alert, and live stat rules on shots, pressure, corners and the score. Every market has its own set of both.

Can I set up my own rules without using AI?

Yes. Every setting can be set by hand: pick a market, then add your pre-match and in-play rules. The AI system builder is an optional shortcut that fills those same settings in from a plain-English description, and you can edit anything it sets afterwards.

What does "odds increase %" mean?

It is how far the live price has drifted above the pre-match price. If Over 1.5 Goals was 1.40 before kick-off and is 1.75 in-play, that is a 25% increase. You set a minimum per market, from 5% upwards, and the alert only fires once the drift is at least that big.

How does the AI system builder work?

Describe your strategy in plain English. The AI picks the markets, sets the minimum probability, odds increase, live odds range and time window, and adds pre-match form and live stat rules where they fit. Before anything is saved you see every threshold next to your current settings and how many upcoming matches pass the pre-match gate. You can refine it with follow-up messages, apply only the markets you want, and undo the change for an hour.

What is a good over 0.5 goals strategy in-play?

The common approach is to wait for a goalless game where the price has drifted but the play has not slowed down: still 0-0 after roughly 55-65 minutes, a high pre-match probability of a goal (80-90%), and live evidence such as 5+ shots on target, dangerous attacks or sustained pressure. The Funnel lets you set every one of those conditions and alerts you when a live match meets them all.

Which markets can the Funnel scan?

Home Win, Draw, Away Win, Double Chance 1X and X2, 0.5+, 1.5+ and 2.5+ goals, BTTS, home and away team goals, first-half goal, and 8+, 9+ and 10+ corners. Season Ticket and API members can also switch on one-click event alerts for penalties awarded and red cards.

Which stats can I filter on?

Live: score, shots, shots on target, possession, live and average pressure, corners, attacks, dangerous attacks, cards, fouls, offsides and the minute, each for either team or the match, plus xG and xG on target in leagues with xG coverage (pair them with an Exists check). Pre-match: win, BTTS and over/under rates, goals, corners, cards, shots and xG per game (where available), scored first and late-goal rates, over the season or the last 5 or 10 games.

How fast are the alerts?

Every live match is scanned every second, and Telegram alerts are sent within seconds of your conditions being met, so you see the price before it moves on.

How much does the Funnel cost?

Anyone can explore the settings. Live alerts on every market, stat rules and the AI system builder come with OddAlerts Pro. Penalty and red card event alerts are included with Season Ticket and API plans.

Is in-play betting profitable with a scanner?

A scanner does not guarantee profit. It applies your rules consistently across thousands of matches so you only see the spots you have decided are worth a bet.
