This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our website, mobile apps and notification services, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.

Payment information
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe (or, for crypto payments, by our crypto payment provider). We do not see or store your full card details. We store a customer reference, your subscription status and billing history so we can provide Pro features and issue refunds.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, operating system and the pages you visit, recorded in server logs for security, fraud prevention and troubleshooting.
- Cookies and analytics: we use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure the site, and Google Analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate. See section 8.
We do not collect special category data (such as health or religious information), and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the service (performance of our contract with you): creating and securing your account, saving your settings, running your alerts, tracking and settling your bets, and delivering notifications by email, Telegram, Discord or push.
- To take payments and manage subscriptions (contract and legal obligation): processing payments, refunds and keeping accounting records required by UK law.
- To answer your questions (contract and legitimate interests): responding to support requests and generating answers in our AI tools.
- To keep OddAlerts secure (legitimate interests): preventing fraud, abuse, account sharing and attacks on our systems.
- To improve OddAlerts (legitimate interests): understanding which features are used so we can fix problems and build better tools, using aggregated analytics.
- To send marketing emails (consent or legitimate interests for existing customers): product updates and daily picks. Every email has an unsubscribe link and you can opt out at any time.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Google User Data
When you sign in with Google, OddAlerts requests only your basic profile information: your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID. We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendar, YouTube account or any other Google data.
- How we use it: solely to create your OddAlerts account, sign you in, show your name and picture in your account, and contact you about your account.
- How we store and protect it: it is stored in our secured database alongside your account, over encrypted connections, with access limited to staff who need it to run the service.
- How we share it: we do not sell, rent or share Google user data with third parties, except with the service providers listed in section 5 that host and operate OddAlerts on our behalf, or where required by law.
- No advertising or AI training: we do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not use it to develop, improve or train generalised AI or machine learning models.
- Retention and deletion: we keep it for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account it is removed as described in section 7.
OddAlerts' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can remove OddAlerts' access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
YouTube: OddAlerts uses YouTube API Services only to upload and manage videos on OddAlerts' own YouTube channel. We never access users' YouTube accounts or YouTube data. By watching or interacting with OddAlerts content on YouTube you are also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
5. Who We Share Data With
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run OddAlerts, under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only on our instructions:
- Hosting and infrastructure: Amazon Web Services (servers and file storage) and Cloudflare (content delivery and security).
- Payments: Stripe, and our crypto payment provider for crypto subscriptions.
- Email: Mailgun, to deliver account, alert and marketing emails.
- Notifications: Telegram and Discord (only if you connect them) and browser/app push services.
- AI features: OpenAI, Anthropic and Google (Gemini) process the questions you type into our AI tools to generate responses. We do not send your account details with these requests.
- Search and analytics: Algolia (site search queries) and Google Analytics (aggregated usage statistics).
- Sign-in: Google, if you choose Google Sign-In.
We may also disclose data if required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business, in which case this policy will continue to apply.
6. International Transfers
Some of our providers are based in, or process data in, the United States and other countries outside the UK. Where this happens we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses to keep your data protected.
7. How Long We Keep Your Data
- Account data, settings, alerts and tracked bets: for as long as your account is open. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings once any active subscription has ended, or by emailing us. Your account data is then deleted from our live systems, and from backups within 30 days.
- Payment and billing records: 6 years, as required by UK tax and accounting law.
- Support messages: up to 2 years after the conversation ends, so we can help with follow-up questions.
- Server logs: up to 90 days, unless needed to investigate a security incident.
- Marketing email list: until you unsubscribe.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, remember your settings and protect against cross-site request forgery; the site cannot work without these. We also use Google Analytics cookies to measure how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may stop working.
9. How We Protect Your Data
All traffic to OddAlerts is encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, access to production systems is restricted to authorised staff, and our infrastructure is protected by firewalls and Cloudflare's security services. No system is completely secure, but we will notify you and the regulator of any breach where the law requires it.
10. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it;
- correct inaccurate data;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict or object to our processing, including objecting to marketing at any time;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where we rely on it, without affecting earlier processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
11. Age Restriction
OddAlerts is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their data, contact us and we will delete it.
