Frequently asked questions

How often do odds-on favourites win?
It depends on the price. Teams at 1.50 win around two-thirds of the time; at 1.20, closer to 80%. The problem is never how often they win but whether the price is short enough to make the bet a bad one — which is what adding a model rule reveals.
Is this list good for accumulators?
It is where most accumulators start, but stacking favourites stacks bookmaker margin too. Our accumulator tips page builds slips from model probabilities rather than from the shortest prices.
