Most people who bet have a rough idea of how they are doing. It is usually wrong. A few big wins stick in the memory and a long run of small losses does not. Bet tracking keeps the record for you, settles it, and shows which parts of your betting actually pay.
It is part of Pro. You log football bets on fixtures we cover, and they settle themselves after the match.
Bankrolls
A bankroll is a pot of money with its own record. Give it a name, a currency and a starting amount. I keep separate ones for different approaches, so a goals system and an in-play system do not blur into one number.
Bankrolls can be private or public. A public bankroll has its own page you can share, and every bet has a share link too. If you saved the bet before kick-off, the shared page says so. Bankrolls can be archived, restored, merged into one, or exported to CSV.
Adding a bet
Pick the fixture by date, league or search, or from your favourites, live games, or alerts that fired in the last five days. Choose the market and the selection. The odds are filled in from bet365, and you can change both the odds and the stake to match what you actually got.
The markets cover full-time and half-time result, double chance, both teams to score, draw no bet, goals totals for the match, each half and each team, corners, cards, Asian handicap and the common combinations, such as result and both teams to score.
A bet can go into several bankrolls at once. Accumulators and bet builders go in as a multiple, with the combined odds and stake you were given.
You can also add a bet straight from value bets and trends without leaving the page.
Settling
Bets settle on their own every 15 minutes once the match has finished. If you have linked Telegram, you get a message when they do. A multiple loses if any leg loses. A void leg drops out, and the rest pays at the price of the legs that won.
If something settles wrongly, you can re-settle it or mark it won or lost by hand. Cash outs are recorded as the amount you took.
Yield and ROI
Two numbers sit at the top of every bankroll, and they answer different questions.
- Yield is profit divided by the total you have staked. £50 profit from £1,000 of bets is a 5% yield. This is the one to compare between approaches, because it does not care how big the pot is.
- ROI is profit divided by your starting bankroll. £50 profit on a £200 bankroll is 25%. This tells you how the pot itself has grown.
The chart is the running balance from the starting amount, with pending bets taken out until they settle.
The edge dashboard
The Analytics tab is where the record turns into something you can act on. Set a date range and the bankrolls to include, and it breaks your settled bets down by bankroll, market, league, odds band, day of the week and month.
Where you win and Leaks pull out the segments that are clearly better or worse than the rest, using at least five bets each. Each segment has a sample label: low under 20 bets, medium up to 49, high from 50. I ignore anything marked low. Ten bets on Serie A unders proves nothing either way.
Underneath, it writes a handful of plain rules from your own numbers, such as an odds band to avoid or a market to lean into.
What it does not do
It does not import bets from your bookmaker, and it does not record the closing price. If you want to know whether you are beating the close, which is closing line value, note the price you took and compare it with the dropping odds after kick-off.
How to use it
- Create a bankroll — One for each approach you want to judge on its own.
- Log bets as you place them — Edit the odds to match what you got.
- Let them settle — Every 15 minutes after full time.
- Read the dashboard monthly — Look at yield by market and odds band, and ignore small samples.
FAQ
Is yield or ROI the better number?
Yield, for judging how well you bet. ROI changes with the size of the starting pot, so two bettors with identical bets can show very different ROI.
Can I track bets that are not on football?
No. Bets are attached to football fixtures we cover, which is what lets them settle automatically.
Can other people see my bets?
Only bankrolls you set to public, and bets you share a link to. Private bankrolls are visible to you alone.
