The league table tells you who has the most points. It is a poor way to see what a team has been doing lately, because September is still in there in April. The form guide is the recent games. It opens on the Premier League and the last six matches overall. Six is enough to see a run, and short enough that a bad month has fallen out of it.
Change the league and the same screen follows you. It is not an England-only table.
The window
Last 5, 6, 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 games. Overall, home, or away. There is also every league game this season, when you want the long view without cups and friendlies mixed in.
Home and away is the switch I use most. A side can look fine overall and be useless on the road, and a blended last-six will hide it. If the bet is an away win, or an away under, I want the away games.
The page opens on the last six overall. Home, away, and the longer windows are on Pro. Worth knowing before you click "last 10 away" and wonder why it stayed put. The six-game table is still the one I look at first.
The columns
The presets save you building a table every time.
- Results: won, drawn, lost
- Goals: total, for, against
- Overs and both teams to score
- Corners: total, for, against
- Cards
- Shots, and shots on target
- First half
- xG: for, against, and whether the results are running hot or cold against the chances
- Defence: clean sheets, goals against, failed to score
- Firepower, Fortress and Tempo, our own 0 to 100 indexes, plus a few more in that group
Results and xG together is the habit. A team can win four from six while the chances say they were fortunate, and the next price will still treat them as in form. The xG column is the correction. There is a longer walkthrough in expected goals, explained.
Corners and cards work the same way when that is the market. This is team form. The referee's record is on referee stats. The season-long league rates are in the best leagues guide.
How to use it
- Open the league — Form guide starts on the Premier League. Change it for the match you actually have.
- Set the window — Last six overall first. Home or away when the venue is the bet.
- Match the columns to the market — Goals, xG, corners or cards. Results on their own are the least I would trust.
- Read both teams — A number only means something next to the opponent, over the same games.
FAQ
Why last six, and not the season table?
The season table hides the recent run. Six games is the default. Use a longer window when one mad match is swinging those six.
Can I see home form on its own?
Yes. Home, away and overall are separate, from the last five games out to the last thirty. Those splits are on Pro. The free table is the last six overall.
